Nicola is an experienced piano teacher and accompanist who graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Bachelor's in music and has worked in Hong Kong and the UK. In 2020 She passed her diploma in early childhood music teaching, making her a qualified assessor and trainer for the Stave House method.

 

Whilst in Hong Kong Nicola worked professionally with choirs as the musical director and conductor for the Sai Kung community choir and Sai Kung children's choir. She also worked as the accompanist for the Lingnan Hang Yee Memorial Secondary School girls choir. As a teacher, Nicola ran a studio of 35+ students ranging from complete beginners to advanced post grade 8 students. Alongside teaching piano, Nicola also ran baby music classes, early years music groups, and musical arts groups.

As an accompanist and teacher in the UK, Nicola has collaborated with choirs and bands, and has been in various local productions of musicals such as Les Miserables, and Evita. She also has extensive experience accompanying musicians for exams and recitals from grade 1 to university degree levels.
